Description

Six Buckeye students recently traveled to the Al Zaatari Refugee Camp to perform dental procedures. This was the first service trip to the Middle East for the OSU Arab Dental Society. Generous support and contributions helped these students leave a life-changing impact on so many refugees. Combined with the Atlantic Humanitarian Relief, the students performed 415 dental procedures and provided fluoride treatment to over 250 kids. Hundreds of dental supplies and equipment were left over and donated for future missions. "While our service trip was a huge success, we realized our work should not end here. As long as these refugees live in deplorable conditions with limited access to dental care, their oral health situation will not get any better unfortunately. Thus, we plan to go back next year and continue our work in alleviating chronic pain and preventing further disease. We firmly believe that with better oral health, these refugees can have a brighter future and we hope you will continue to support us!" Thank you for your service: Sami Mubarak, Miguel Camino, Mareem Ali, Aji Singh, Dana Akel, Ruwaydah Shalash. #BuckeyesGive #RefugeeSmiles https://business.facebook.com/osuads/videos/682793718839260/
