Description

On November 26, Dennis Hirsch, professor of law and director of the program on data and governance at Ohio State’s Moritz College of Law, attended the Information Society and Law Conference, at United Metropolitan Colleges (Faculdades Metropolitanas Unidas - FMU) in São Paulo, where he gave a presentation on personal data protection, comparing data and environmental issues, to an audience of FMU students, alumni and faculty. Attendees found it interesting to hear the topic from an environmental law perspective. Hirsch’s research interests lie at the intersection of governance theory and information privacy law and he has written extensively in this area. The presentation was delivered online, “which makes complete sense given the conference’s topic,” said Bruno Bioni, FMU alumnus and attorney, who performed simultaneous translation during the presentation.
