Ethiopia’s first antimicrobial resistance (AMR) surveillance program initiated in 2016 by the CDC, the Ethiopian Public Health Institute and Ohio State’s Global One Health initiative in order to decrease AMR in Ethiopia. Antibiotics can be a lifesaving remedy but misuse and overuse of antibiotics lead bacteria to become resistant. This network aims to train clinicians with better practices and techniques to reduce the threat of AMR.
